Motion & visual study 2026
Afterimage
Experiments at the edge of light.
What remains when a shape moves on?
Afterimage is a self-initiated visual study of light, repetition, and perception. The compositions explore how a static arrangement can suggest something still in motion.
Role & scope
The project includes a visual premise, a family of original vector compositions, and studies intended to inform a future motion system.
The process
Concentric shapes were stretched, offset, and layered to create a sense of depth. A narrow spectral palette separates their edges while dark intervals give the eye places to rest. Each variation uses the same construction at a different scale.
The outcome
A collection of still studies with a strong sense of direction and optical movement. The concept demonstrates a visual vocabulary rather than a finished film or commercial campaign.
